How Vaping, Weed, and Hookah Threaten Teen Mental Health
First Place: $20,000
Safer, Cleaner, Greener

Esperanza Academy Charter High School’s project, “How Vaping, Weed, and Hookah Threaten Teen Mental Health,” focuses on raising awareness about the impact of substance use on youth well-being. Since November, students have been actively engaged in researching the physical and emotional effects of vaping, marijuana, and hookah use. They explored not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes and long-term consequences associated with these behaviors.
