We Grow What We Eat was designed to be a multigenerational, ethnically diverse project that brought attention to food insecurity in disadvantaged communities. Allowing people from different ages and backgrounds to come together to grow their own nutritious food puts ownership of a healthy lifestyle back into the hands of the community. Creating a shared cookbook provides a legacy to be passed down.
